Introduction
I created this bee for a collector. I started with the drawing and then went on to paint it using just 3 colours.

Supplies
I used just 3 colours:
Winsor and Newton: Winsor lemon, quinacridone magenta, Winsor blue (green shade). I used a size 12 synthetic brush, round and a rigger. My paper was by St Cuthberts mill and it was high white, textured, cold press, 638gsm.

Short highlight video on the process
I stated by saturating the paper and adding colours wet into wet, wet into damp and finally wet onto dry. I finished off the piece by adding marks with some watercolour pencils I had to hand. This short video summarises the process!
I will soon be producing colour mixing lessons for those interested in reducing their palette down to 3 paints. Details will be going out to my subscribers on www.sarahstokesartist.co.uk
