My project for course: Interactive Pop-up Books: Create a Paper World

I made a mock-up* for a pop-up book about the history of early European colonists, and the first colonies in North America. This is a first version of a developing project for use in my class. When I teach this lesson, as it's for children, I make sure they understand that the Europeans are not the good guys in the history of the colonization of North America, but without showing upsetting imagery. I also teach the older ones (CM1 aka 5th grade) how to make and use an astrolabe as part of the lesson.

*The artwork is mostly not mine in this version of the book. It's downloaded, printed, and cut out. For future versions, I do plan to use a lot more of my own artwork where appropriate.
