I started by observing a spray bottle using two different color markers, building up the shape of the object and then refining the lines.

Using my observations, I made a small pencil drawing in my sketchbook, adding a flower to the spray bottle to add an element of interest and fantasy. I also chose which limited color palette I wanted to work with.

I made three small sketches of the design and used colored pencils to test out different color combinations.

I sketched out the poster and transferred it onto watercolour paper. Using kitchen sponge and brushes, I created a textured background that I then painted my image onto. I also used a little bit of masking fluid to create the air bubbles in the spray bottle. Finally, I inked the bottle and flower with a brush pen.

I took several pictures of the finished painting and edited the best one in Photoshop. I also added a little bit of typography to tie the image together.

During the edits, I accidentally found a different color combination that I quite liked, so I saved it as an alternate version.
