My project in Design and Creation of an Art Toy: From Person to Character course

My first attempt I ran into trouble with cracking after baking with the clay - it eventually just crumbled. So i started over, smaller, with bigger feet for stability. One of the most recognizable people so far in 2021 was the Q-Shaman. This is not an endorsement of his actions, just a visually interesting subject.

Process:
I struggled with simplifying the character down, the hat and the pants are more detailed than they should perhaps be, but I will keep working on it. Also, the wire I found wasn't stiff enough so that first layer of clay was a challenge, and once i found Super Sculpey the cracking issue went away.

I have learned so much from this workshop, and I can take these skills over to my other hobbies - thank you so much!
