I am a retired Environmental Science and Outdoor Educator. My earliest childhood memories are flooded with rocks in my pockets and a Golden Guide in my hand. I learned birdsong by playing LP records with my 80 year old friend Mrs. Tilman when I was 9 years old. I am active in our local Audubon Chapter and want to pass the love of nature on to young adult birders. I have always wanted to have a creative nature journal but have never taken an art class. My 3 brothers could draw anything - so I thought maybe I could.....Not so much. So, as I recently retired I am trying to learn to sketch and paint. I have a journey ahead of me to learn the skills, but I am so excited to explore and improve. Most importantly, bringing art to my love of science and nature.
