Pierre Allain

Hi,
My name is Pierre, I'm a 28 y.o. french designer focusing on youth and playfulness. At the moment, I'm mainly a teacher at Ecole Boulle, Paris. I studied design at the Ensaama (Olivier de Serres, Paris) and at the Design Academy Eindhoven (NL).

I'm following this course in order to learn the technique of shoe making, to complete a collaboration between my current Arts&Crafts Students (~16 y.o.) and Chris Francis, an Amercian shoe designer. I hope to bring my students enough tools for them to be able to produce what they have in mind.

The specifications of the project, "Chaussure de Villes" ("Cities' Shoe") are :
- Get inspired by a specific element of the city and develop a pictoral field-research.
- Make your own material library
- Produce a sculptural pair of shoes (see Chris Francis' work) that pays tribute to your topic.
- Develop a visual identity around this pair of shoes.
