Asiem Sanyal

Asiem Sanyal is an Indian marine biologist, conservationist, and PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor. He is also, at heart, a writer and artist whose creative expression is deeply influenced by his professional work with communities dependent on ecosystem resources and living at the forefront of the climate crisis. Asiem is particularly enthralled by marine and coastal ecosystems, and thanks to a career spanning the overlapping spheres of biodiversity research, sustainable livelihoods, and environmental education, he has had the opportunity to live and work on islands around the world.
