Miguel Guarín is an artist from Cali, Colombia; he is a painter and sculptor who is mainly a cubist, impressionist and surrealist who has also made incursions in most other artistic movements. He was selected as one of the 100 best contemporary painters of the world between 2020-2023 by the Art Museum of the Americas in the United States and the European Commission Library. He has recently exhibited his cubist and abstract work titled ‘Woman, The muse of the artist’ in important art galleries and museums in Colombia to later tour in international showings in France (Paris, Carrousel du Louvre, temporary exhibition hall, October 24, 2021), Spain (Madrid, Galería Espacio Cultural Abierto, El Retiro Park, November 3, 2121), Italy (Biennial of Contemporary art in Salerno, Palazzo Fruscione, November 6 , 2021), Egypt (Cairo, Colombian Embassy , and the gallery of the five star Tolip Hotel). His extensive work highlights the beauty and values of women universally, it also emphasizes on Colombian and Latin American cultures as treasures of humanity. His latest cubist, abstract and surrealist works of art superbly portrait the history of the indigenous peoples of Latin America down to the moment of the Spanish conquest. His pieces will be exhibited in 2022 in important art venues around the world such as Le Carrousel du Louvre in Paris on April 8, 2022.
