Mum of 3 plus 3 stepchildren and 2 grandchildren! Favourite moment when the kids were in primary school was making Book Bags which were a collaborative effort with other parents. We would choose a children's book such as Winnie the Witch or Handa's Surprise and make all the characters and props so the children could act out the story. We included games that we made based on the story content to help with numbers, colours, words, etc. Everything was contained in a drawstring bag coloured the same as the book and which hung on a peg in the library corner of the classroom.
