Mario van Miert

My name is Mario van Miert, I was born in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
I am married and have 3 children.
When I was young there was always creativity around me and my parents introduced me to various mediums very broadly.
From drawing, painting, modeling and woodworking to caligraphing.
I studied to be an advertising artist / graphic artist, but when I left school there was no work because there was an economic crisis.
I then ended up in the hospitality industry.
Only when I was a little bit older, about 25 years, I find creativity again and it never left me after that.
