Maciej Zakliczyński

I am a movement director and author. I have a university degree in Theatre Studies, Cultural Studies. I studied Dance, but I am also EMBA and DBA Art&Science in New Media.

For over four decades I am involved in dance in Poland. Well known to a wider audience for my choreography in popular TV shows, I work most eagerly as a stage movement director. I have created movement for various theatrical plays, presented in theaters in Poland and abroad. In my work I use a unique method of composing movement with the use of gesture and body on stage. Minimalism and simplicity are the leading features of my actions. By creating the course of stage movement under a dramaturgical mantle, I complement and enrich the direction of the performance and the intentions of the actors and dancers. I am the author of two books, which came into being as a result of my literary and graphic blog Droho.
