Hi everyone,
I just joined Domestika a few days ago. I'm a creative technologist by day where I champion the union of creative ideation with technology innovation and the art of the possible. Outside of work I love science fiction novels. Back when I was a kid, I also loved fantasy novels and role playing games. These genres of literature influenced my love for drawing and I liked to draw mystical warriors and dragons. I also developed a love for abstract art. More recently, I have been influenced by tribal art forms of Asia, especially Indian art forms such as Gond and Warli art as it relates to my earlier interest in abstract art. These Indian art forms are also about story telling and the works all pass down generations of folklore and legend.

I haven't drawn for fun in many years but I've always had an interest in portraiture. My compelling reason to join this platform and take a drawing course is to learn about drawing and sketching technique, form and realism as I want to progress from amateur efforts to a more refined drawing style.
