Gary Hawker

I live only a few hundred yards from where I was born - between then and now are are a million possible pathways in time and place - although, naturally, I have chosen only one (or it had chosen me) there are still a million other Gary Hawkers out there weaving different stories, meeting strangers, experiencing trauma or happiness, falling in and out of love - and occasionally a story demands to be put into words - I have joined this course because I want to be ready and make the best job that I can.

One story I have already captured is called Inside the Seventh Wave - I was lucky enough to be short-listed for the Booker Prize - I'm now working on The Eye of a little God - six ordinary lives/ six extraordinary years - the joy both have given me is without measure.
