Gabriella Galvez

Nice to meet you! I’m Gabriella, an illustrator and surface pattern designer based in Montreal, Quebec. I create playful, vibrant artwork for a variety of products, including fabric, wallpaper, and children's books.

I grew up on the shores of British Columbia, where I spent countless hours dreaming of hidden fairy worlds, swimming with mermaid friends in the ocean, and pouring everything into my sketchbook along the way - hoping that I would never have to grow up like Peter Pan.

I seek to capture that simple wonder in childhood moments in my illustrations. My style embraces bright colours, memorable characters, and always, a dash of whimsy.

I received my BFA in Illustration from Emily Carr University of Art + Design in 2013, and since then, I’ve had the pleasure of creating best-selling designs for clients like Pehr and Anewall, and see my work featured in well-known brands like Anthropologie, IKEA, and Harrods. I'm proud to be represented by Advocate Art and excited to share new book projects with you in the coming year.
