Regarding Sites that violate the editorial guidelines and how to get your site reviewed...
There have been a lot of questions related to sites that Yahoo! has determined to be in violation of the Yahoo! editorial content guidelines, and how to appeal these decisions. I?ll try to provide some answers by taking you through the review and appeal process:
First, there are editorial guidelines for sites submitted into the Yahoo! Search results. The guidelines are regularly updated and can be found at:
http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/ysearch/deletions/deletions-05.html
These guidelines apply whether your site is crawled, suggested through the free Add URL service, or included in your Site Match service. So if your site was determined to be in violation when it was crawled or after you suggested the site via the Add URL service, that URL will also be excluded if you submit it using Site Match. Keep in mind that we attempt to be as objective as possible when applying these guidelines. You should review our guidelines and also try to be objective when you evaluate your own site.
If your site was found to be in violation of the guidelines, we do not provide information on why your page or site was excluded. This is to prevent anyone from ?gaming? the system. If you used Site Match, your reseller may offer services and advice on what caused your site to violate the content guidelines and what changes you may need to make. Note that with Site Match, if you were found to be in violation, you can make changes to your site and resubmit the URL once more at no additional charge. After the first resubmission, you will be charged again for that URL.
Judging from the activity on this board and others, many people believe their sites were incorrectly excluded from the Yahoo! Search results or previously from the Inktomi results. If you feel that you have corrected the issues that led to your exclusion or if you want to appeal for any reason, you must send an email to reportsearchspam@yahoo-inc.com
This is the only email address you should use. As you might imagine, we have a backlog of requests for review and we appreciate your patience. We can?t give you a specific timeframe for when you will get a response. It may take at least two months for your site to be reevaluated and may take longer for that site to be updated in the search results.
We are currently evaluating the appeals process for reviewing sites that have been deemed to be in violation of the editorial guidelines. We are in the process of developing a service to expedite this process and will have more information on this service in the near future

I see several posts about Directory Review and the relationship to Site Match or Add URL review. I'll try to answer them:
Q: Why is my site in the directory but not in the search results?
there are separate editorial guidelines for
- The Yahoo! Directory
- The Add URL, crawler and Site Match services
First, the directory is reviewed by editors only. Sites from the Add URL, Site Match service or crawler are reviewed both algorithmically and by editors. I'll give you one example of how these evaluations may differ, but there many more.
There are some techniques, such as hidden text, that a human editor would not detect. However, the algorithmic evaluation would catch these problems. The site would be accepted into the directory but not into the Yahoo! Search results. This is OK because the directory listings are not ranked by relevance and therefore are not influenced by the hidden text. But to the algorithmic search, the hidden text is in violation of editorial guidelines because it is an attempt to influence the relevance of the search results.
So inclusion in the directory does not guarantee inclusion in the Search Results.
Q: If my site is in the directory, and I'm not violating the editorial guidelines for the crawler / Add URL, why aren't all my pages available in the Yahoo! Search results
When your site is included in the directory, we will attempt to crawl your site. However, there still may be issues with your site that prevent all the pages from being crawled. A very simple example is if you used Flash (or other technology that crawlers can't navigate) for your home page. That page would be in the directory but the crawler wouldn't be able to navigate the rest of your site. Again, this is just one simple example, but hopefully illustrates what can happen.
