Story and stories about people captivate me. Fabrics, garments and embellishments, in particular hand finished details, have been a continuing love affair and art resource from my young life. A Sunday family ritual, many years ago, of closing lounge room curtains to watch movies, be transported, drew my attention to characters distant in time and place; beautifully tailored or torn. I’ve studied patten making, design and education. I’ve worked in theatre costume design/set design and entered the world of film making four years ago on the suggestion of a friend; a way forward? Your course came across Instagram for me right at the point where I was about to give up.
Thank you for reminding me to never give up my passion for costume design and all it involves 👌🙌✍️
