Emilio Seri

I am an Italian and American writer and director. I graduated Summa Cum Laude in Literature, Music and Theater with a thesis that analyzed the relationship between words and images in the films of Josef Von Sternberg. At the same time I started making my first short films, among which a video for the TV program TOP5 which was broadcasted on Italian National Television. In 2016 I graduated Summa Cum Laude from the City College of New York with an MFA in Writing and Directing for Fiction where I was the recipient of the “Bert Saperstein Communication Scholarship” for scholastic merit. My thesis, a sci-fi short film entitled “Astral Migrant”, was selected as a 2016 Student Academy Award semifinalist and was screened at several international film festivals. Currently I work as a filmmaker and sound designer while developing my first feature length project.
