I have always been avidly interested in comic books and used to create my own characters and stories. Even though I then followed a slightly divergent art route into studying animation and then becoming a teacher of art, comic books have always remained at the forefront of my main interests and have followed and collected them throughout my life, be it weeklies, monthlies or graphic novel special editions and collections.

Nevertheless, art has always been a part of my life and even though for the past several years I have been working with animals, I have been running a pet portrait business alongside my main business. The reason I am undertaking this course is to delve further into the intricacies of my lifelong passion, to expand upon my existing skill set and to explore and hopefully realise my own potential.
