I have been already a huge fan of Emmas books.
It has been so nice to see her process in real life.
Originally, I bought the McGrath gouache course, but it was a chaos; so, I swapped over to this Emma Block course, and I love it. Ms Block shows and explains cleanly her color mixing steps, which are easy to follow. She picks tiny paint blobs from the tubes and mixes them only as much as required for the painting run/step she is doing, very clean strategy: no mess, no chaos. I highly recommend this course to start with gouache: you will definitely learn the Emma Block process: enourmous fun.

Really loved Emma, this course is perfect for a beginner. Clear instructions and so much fun!
I have loved this class. I am new to gouache and learnt so much. But above and beyond this I have done other classes and learnt about colour wheels and tone etc but Emma explained in a way that makes so much sense in a practical sense for the first time. It has made me think in a different way. I have learnt so much from her. Love her style of demonstrating with fun shapes and not just swatches all the time - this triggered lots of other ideas and uses.
I love Emma Block’s colourful style and this course really gives you a glimpse on her art process. She has very clear instructions and examples. Great course!
