A big thank you to Lil for sharing her skill and technique in gouache painting and for giving tips and advice throughout the course. Lil takes you through all the processes needed to improve and master this medium. I particularly liked the ‘Japan’ theme and enjoyed looking at Japanese Art for inspiration for the final project.

Il corso mi sta piacendo moltissimo, per il ritmo giusto che riesce a dare la docente e per la piacevolezza che riesce a trasmettere nell'insegnamento; ho apprezzato il materiale messo a disposizione, la chiarezza espositiva, la competenza nelle tecniche di base e sono davvero felice di avere acquistato questo corso. Fa nascere la voglia di mettersi concretamente alla prova.

I wanted to refamiliarize myself with gouache after decades of painting almost exclusively in transparent watercolor. Because Lil Sire's work really appealed to me, I decided to take her course. I must say that it's been an eye-opening experience. As a painter of impressionist landscapes and cityscapes for thirty years, designing an illustration wasn't really in my artistic vocabulary, and I was surprised how enjoyable the process proved to be.

I enjoyed the course. The instructor was French, I am an English Afrikaans speaking person. I could follow all the subtitles, because Lil spoke slowly and explained in an awesome manner. She has wonderful knowledge and talents. She shared her knowledge and information well. Left us with lots of material to ponder on and to work with.
