This is a wonderful course for anyone who wants to gain confidence in oil painting. The knowledge of Mrs Gibson is vast and precious! Nothing you can just get by reading or watching some tutorials. I highly recommend this course!!!

Just what I was looking for in a course. This is a well thought out course taking you through many aspects of Classical drawing and painting. Sarah is a wonderful teacher, and concisely breaks down a logical way to achieve this with so much information hidden in here. I have already learned so much, and have only done the sketching part so far. I am an experienced oil painter, but see this as a way to reset some bad habits I have acquired. Looking forward to more courses by this teacher.

The course was very thorough but a little too academic for my tastes. An inordinate amount of time is spent on drawing using their methods while most bird painters wouldn’t purchase a taxidermy bird. I was however happy to learn something new and the oil paint properties information was helpful.

It is a wonderful course. Sarah explains everything thoroughly and shares her process for making stunning paintings. I would highly recommend this class to anyone wanting to get better with their painting.

As a big fan of chiaroscuro, I'm very happy to have found this course! I just finished my first painting and am looking forward to improve my skills in my next bird portraiture. As a beginner I found that every step was well explained and the course of very high quality! I've had a steep learning curve. However, this is a rather time consuming way of painting and I had to work on my patience, too, not to rush the process ;o)

I’m really enjoying this course - I’ve watched the videos twice and am now putting what I’ve learned in to practice. The materials list is well-explained and I was able to purchase most items. However, one of the paint colours was simply out of my budget range at £44 per 40ml tube (smallest size available). I might have to wait for that one! Each lesson is clearly set out, videoed and explained - thank you. I’m really hoping that Sarah will deliver another course dealing with portraiture.
