Retrato expresivo al óleo: explora la técnica alla prima

Como curso para realizar un retrato expresivo, está bien, pero mi expectativa al tomarlo era por la técnica alla prima, con que se anuncia. El profesor efectivamente usa esta técnica al realizar su proyecto, pero apenas se refiere a ella al inicio, por lo que, durante el desarrollo del curso, solo se pueden inferir los tips y características de esta técnica. Pero es un "curso de pintura alla prima", y no basta con inferir. El profesor debiese ser explícito en las diferencias y particularidades.

I really love the organization of this course. The daunting task of taking on a whole portrait is broken down into easy to follow steps. There's a nice mix of freedom to work on whatever we want, and structure for being able to actually get there.

I think your course was a good value. More than two hours of training for $20 is a deal. You most definitely gave me a few good pointers in more than a few areas. I still need more practice mixing flesh tones and understanding how to mix proper direct and cast shadows but I guess practice makes you better. Thank you again. Peter

Me gustó el curso ya que se dibuja a la modelo sin cuadrícula y sin calcante y de una vez con pintura.

Sono molto contenta di questo corso, mi ha dato spunti interessanti per migliorare il mio modo di dipingere. Non mi è chiara la parte dove spiega come usare photoshop ma è decisamente un mio limite perchè non ho alcuna dimestichezza con queste app tecnologiche. Peccato che i materiali che propone siano quasi impossibili da trovare in Italia se non spendendo molti soldi di trasporto. Per il resto vorrei dire che è un ottimo insegnante nonchè artista. Grazie mille per questo corso.

This teacher is a great artist. I follow him on Instagram and his pedagogy made me want to take this course. I'm not disappointed. I paint but not in oils. However, this Domestika course makes me want to get started and is a very interesting way of learning how to play with light in color. The explanations are suitable for everyone.

I thought this course was excellent-- AJ very clearly explains his methods and guides the viewer through his process. I learned so much.

A.J. Is a great artist. I do really recommend following his IG-Account, where he is offering some great advice on portrait painting. This Domestika course is very good, but imho not really for beginners, but for more immediate oil painters, although A.J. of course start with everything you have to know, even as a beginner.

This course inspired me to paint once again in oils after a six year journey using a different media. I do love the gooey medium of oils and the rich visual effects of this lasting substance.
