I created a simple blue sweatshirt with a small graphic detail. I chose this design to focus on comfort, simplicity, and timeless style, while adding a subtle element that gives the garment a unique character.

Materiały i narzędzia
For this project, I used a cotton-based sweatshirt fabric with added elasticity to ensure comfort, durability, and ease of movement. The fabric was chosen for its softness, breathability, and suitability for everyday wear.
The garment was constructed using standard sewing tools, including a sewing machine, overlock (serger), fabric scissors, pins, measuring tape, and an iron for pressing seams and finishing details. A paper pattern was used as the base for the sweatshirt, which was adjusted to achieve the desired fit.
The graphic was created digitally using basic graphic design software and then applied as a small print to maintain a minimalist aesthetic. The design process included sketching, pattern preparation, cutting, sewing, and final finishing.
The process of creating
The process of creating this sweatshirt started with the idea of simplicity. I wanted to design a comfortable, everyday piece that feels timeless and easy to wear, while still having a subtle detail that gives it character. I chose a classic sweatshirt silhouette and a soft blue color, which evokes calmness, comfort, and a relaxed mood.
The next step was adding a small graphic element that would not overpower the design. Placed on the chest, the graphic is minimal and symbolic — something that catches attention only when you look closer. This allowed the sweatshirt to remain clean and minimalist, while still standing out from basic designs.
Throughout the project, I focused on a thoughtful and intentional design process — from concept and color choice to form and functionality. This experience showed me that creating meaningful clothing does not require complex patterns or bold graphics. Often, simplicity and attention to detail have the strongest impact.
I hope this project inspires others to trust their creative instincts and explore their own ideas. Fashion design and garment making are not only technical skills, but also a way to express personality and emotion — even through the simplest designs
