I’m Amanda from Wales, Uk. I took up crochet in 2020 when lockdown began, and learnt all I know from you tube videos. Crystal from bag-o-day crochet on you tube has been a great influencer for me and I have made numerous items from dishcloths to hoodies and dresses in children and adult sizes.
I’ve taken on this and other courses to learn more about design and pattern making so I can make and sell my patterns and continue to make and sell my crochet wearables.
I am also paraplegic (paralysed from the chest) after an accident in 2007 and I am always looking for new ways to help me work with my pain that prescription medication doesn’t help, crochet does this. I also play wheelchair rugby with team Ospreys and would like to design winter hats with our logo.
