Efekan Akyüz

I would like to explain myself, for my porfolio. I am a multi-skilled photo
journalist currently working in Ankara, shooting breaking news, politics,
society and economy. On February 6, 2023, I actively worked as a
photojournalist in the field during the earthquakes affecting Turkey-Syria,
which is called the disaster of the century. For weeks, I followed the
resistance of villagers and environmental activists in Muğla İkizköy against
the construction of a mine in a forested area. During my news coverage, I
was awarded the 2023 Musa Anter special jury prize for my photograph
depicting the struggle of the people of İkizköy.
