We are all experiencing what it means to be more at home these past months - with or without flatmates and friends around. I wanted to bring to light a project that I have realised during my last year at university - and thought of giving to it a little twist considering the situation we are in right now. This project was created to be printed on ceramic tiles but I have decided to make a poster with the 7 illustrations together and individual posters of each!
This project doesn’t show the big factors of sharing a house with other strangers or friends, high rent compared to minimum wage, smaller and smaller rooms – but instead denounce the untold flaws (by agencies or private landlords) that a person could find while stuck with flatmates or a house that sometimes just don’t match. A household contract does not reveal information of this type as it is not in their interest. There is, of course, a personal choice on the factors that have bothered me the most through the years, but the factors could be infinite, as each person has had different experiences.
Illustrations titles in order:
- The extra flatmate - The missing roll - The sink situation - Colourful disaster -My juice - Regular parties - Too(th) close
