My project for ‘Time Management Techniques for Creators and Creatives’

I’m So grateful that I made the decision to take this course. Since beginning, I’ve gained a much stronger awareness of my good and bad working habits and I’ve been able to create a schedule that works best for me in terms of producing work and managing my business.

MY BIG TAKEAWAYS FROM THIS COURSE.
I wanted to leave some notes about what I learned from this course here for my future self:
1. In order to be successful in all aspects of life, we have to pay close attention to our physical, mental and relationship health. From the gut-brain connection (gut produces serotonin, so high levels of stress leads to not nutrition absorption, no positivity), to getting enough social interaction, to getting enough sleep at night.
Health Happy = Work Happy.
2. ON THAT NOTE, Though it’s our tendency, working 24/7 is not the way. Creators, like all workers, must faithfully stick to a reasonable working schedule, as overworking can lead to burnout. Generous breaks and ample vacation time will cause creators to be much more productive and efficient during work time!
3. Bullet Journalling! Having a month-long journal where I can plan my weekly goals at the beginning of each week has truly changed things for me. I’m able to monitor my progress, and make adjustments as I see fit, rather than just going day today.
4. Ergonomics. In the resources was a Ted talk that showed the effect of sitting for long periods of time, it has drastically changed the way that I approach sitting work. For starters, I get up constantly and go for frequent walks, or shift gears and do a new activity away from my desk for a short period of time.
Finally, I know it’s silly, but I found a way to prop up my iPad on yoga blocks, and I find my posture is much better when I see the screen at eye-level!

Thank you Mònica Rodríguez!! this course has been a game changer for me, end it has made my own goals so much more achievable. I hope to continue using these tactics and also help to teach them to my students!
