Domestic Data Streamers is a Barcelona-based creative studio that turns complex data into experiences people actually understand. We work with organizations like UNICEF, Google Arts & Culture, UNHCR, and museums across 50+ countries, building scrollytelling pieces, data portals, digital reports, and interactive installations that make information feel human.The Role
We're looking for a UX/UI Designer with ~4 years of experience and a clear visual sensibility. You should have at least one role where you've grown significantly, or two solid positions that show progression.

You'll work across projects of different scales:

On small and medium projects (scrollytelling, digital reports, digital experiences):
Own the design process end-to-end, from wireframes to high-fidelity
Build and maintain component libraries and design systems for each project
Prepare clean, organized handoffs to development
On large projects (think: United Nations platforms, complex data portals):
Support discovery phases led by our senior designer (workshops, research, consultancy)
Collaborate on mid-fidelity wireframes
Take the lead on high-fidelity design, design systems, and developer handoff
Even when working independently, you'll have regular check-ins to share ideas, test decisions, and give each other feedback. We're a collaborative team, nobody designs in isolation here.What You'll Need
Strong UI instincts

A good eye for visual design. You care about typography, color, and composition.
You keep up with digital design trends and best practices.
Design systems experience

Component-based thinking comes naturally to you.
You build things that scale.
Advanced Figma skills

Components, variants, auto-layout, you know your way around.
Your files are structured with handoff in mind.
UX experience with complex digital tools

Not just corporate websites or marketing pages.
You've worked on platforms, portals, or products with real user flows.
Client communication skills

You can present your work and explain design decisions clearly.
Good English level

Our projects are international. You'll need to communicate with clients and partners in English.
Nice to Have
Experience with data visualization
Motion design skills (defining animations, transitions, microinteractions, and guiding developers on implementation)
Knowledge of digital accessibility standards
Front-end basics or experience working closely with developers
Experience with phygital projects (installations, experiences beyond desktop/mobile)
Who You Are
Detail-oriented. You actually enjoy iterating on the small stuff. You like organizing your design files so developers don't curse your name.
A good communicator. You can defend your point of view from a user experience perspective, but you also know how to listen, negotiate, and collaborate with developers and other team members.
Curious. You try new tools and processes because you want to, not because someone told you to.
