Introduction
I LOVED this course so much. It was so full of helpful guidance and inspiring creativity. I don’t create many projects as I enjoy watching the courses for inspiration and applying learning to my own projects but I would love feedback on this one. I started with a word game as in the course and came up with serendipity: A little mouse mascot who has grown too large for his mascot shirt falls into the pool at a swim competition. He tares his shirt as he falls but serendipity steps in to provide him with a new one. His mascot colours are yellow and purple - so nice and bright to paint (heehee)

Supplies
Paper, pencils, ipad and Procreate. The syrup brush, Aaron Blaise’s pastel-b brush, some texture packs.
Thumbnails
After doing the mind/word game to come up with an idea - I landed on ‘serendipity’, I sketched up some scruffy thumbnails to try out ideas - didn’t do as many as recommended but I’m working on that.

Linework for selected idea
I chose the last thumbnail and made some changes before settling on linework.

Rendering image
I made some more adjustments as I went along and then when finished I added it into affinity publisher so I could place the text.

Protecting the image
I put the image through Glaze and Nightshade which produces some small aberrations within the image. You can see a sort of crackled texture if you look above. The text isn’t edited just to convey the idea of the story.
Next steps - write the rest of the book !
Thank you for this fun course xx
