Bloom Cot Linen and play mats - fabric design and artwork

This range of Bloom Cot Linen and Baby Activity Play Mats was created using the illustrations local Interior Designer, Mariëtte Sakelliou commissioned me to create for her local babies and kids interiors business - Little Interiors.

Created with basic, pen and ink sketches and watercolour. The illustrations were scanned, touched up in Photoshop and further the layouts done in illustrator for digital print company to produce.

I created basic illustrative elements she could use in a variety of configurations for digital print on eco friendly bamboo fabric.

This gorgeous fitted cot sheet is illustrated by South African artist Tracy-Leigh Preston. The sheets are printed locally on bamboo fabric, that is softer than cotton, with a texture similar to a blend of cashmere and silk. We aim for a clutter free sleeping environment for your beautiful baby, reducing risks of suffocation and SIDS.

Mariette sold these through her online business as well as Decorex, a local decor show here in South Africa, as well as Kamers, a celebrated 'makers/creators' festival that happens bi-yearly in S.A.
