Introduction

A Holiday card with Holiday Haiku
The character is "a little man in a hat doing stuff". In this case, he is a BRIGHT, shining star catcher.

iPad with pen and Photoshop with P22 fonts

2nd state

I've been drawing this figure for many years, and this one I did very quickly without thinking about it. The haiku was also a first draft. "First thought, best thought". The haiku is a Japanese poem with three lines and 17 syllables. This has 16 syllables, since I often don't follow rules. The total time is less than an hour. Photoshop just came out with some new P22 fonts (my favorite type foundry), and that is what I used for fonts. I may continue this style of "little men in hats doing stuff" with the haiku format as a children's book. I am new to Fresco and the iPad and I like the quick, free-form style you can achieve. with software.
