Experienced Art Director

Hi there!

We are currently seeking a talented and experienced **freelancer Art Director** with strong conceptualising skills to collaborate on an on project basis with the possibility of going part-time in the future.

We’re a creative agency based in London and Barcelona. We are a small multi cultural team with very big ambitions. We focus on supporting startups with their advertising initiatives with a strong focus on social media, TV commercials and OOH campaigns across the UK and around the globe.

Main tasks:

- Participate in creative campaigns’ entire cycle: from strategy to delivery.
- Art direction for all content creation, in collaboration with our Creative Director and Graphic Designer, to deliver monthly outdoor creative and online content consistent with our clients’ brand strategy.

What we’re looking for in our art director:

- Someone who has a great eye for detail and understands how to utilise the right colors, fonts and imagery.
- Advise on best practices and optimisations throughout design projects.
- Create visualisations (either by hand or via a software program) which convey accurate messaging and undertones as dictated by the project.
- They can collaborate and communicate well with other members of the team.

Requirements:

- Fluent in English.
- 5+ years of previous experience in advertising agencies, design studios or similar.
- Solid experience with image editing tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, inDesign) and Figma.

It’s a plus if:

- You have Premier / After Effects knowledge or other similar video skills.
- You have an understanding of creative direction.
- You have typography, UX/UI, illustration, and retouching skills.

Soft skills:

- You have strong storytelling abilities.
- You’re up to date with new trends and know how to adapt (for example, understanding how content is consumed on TikTok, Instagram, etc.)
- You have the ability to work intuitively and proactively.
- You understand the communication needs for promotional content in social media.
- You can work professionally with clients to understand their objectives and feedback.
- You feel comfortable presenting your work to clients, and understanding feedback.
