An epitaph is the text that honors a deceased, most usually inscribed on a gravestone or plaque.
For a packaging postgraduate workshop taught at BAU, we aimed to pay homage to a deceased typographer but that his work still lives, through the selection of a character from one of its fonts and building an ergonomic pack for it.
I Choose Giambattista Bodoni that was a famous typographer and Italian printer born in the eighteenth century. After he died his wife published his first volume of his Typographic Manuale, the most important treatise on typography of the time.
I chose Bodoni's D and I tried to combine two different elements: a book and the container where at the time the lead letters were put, trying to merge them into a single body.
