Neon Springtime

I created a more floral based ikebana for my floral project. I wanted to use a variety of floral that was unique in shape and bright in color.

For the materials, I used a kenzan, hasami, and bowl all purchased online. The pink gerbera daisies, yellow billy balls, calla lilies, white veronica, and asparagus fern were bought at a local store while the coral yucca was pruned during a walk.

My process was a little less traditional and more spring and floral forward. I don’t have access to a lot of greenery living in the desert but I was especially drawn to flowers that were in season. I wanted my ikebana to reflect the springtime and use bright colors like pink, yellow, and green that would complement one another. I like how this arrangement turned out vivid, fun, and feminine!
