Introduction
I created a cross-variable demographic analysis for Udaipur City, Rajasthan, India. By dividing the city into twenty 2x2 km² grids, I analyzed key demographic factors like population, literacy, sex ratio, migration, and workforce participation. This helped identify patterns, such as high household sizes in dense areas, migration toward industrial zones, and the link between literacy and sex ratio. The goal was to better understand these relationships for improved urban planning and policy-making.

Supplies
I used Excel for data cleaning and analysis, and QGIS for GIS operations and maps.
Gathered Census 2011 data for key demographic variables (population, density, households, literacy, sex ratio, migration, WFPR).
Spatial Mapping
Used Excel to clean and structure demographic data for each grid.
Calculated indices such as literacy, sex ratio and migration, WFPR etc.
Mapped demographic variables onto the city grid using GIS tools for spatial visualization.
