Finding a new room

I started taking some sketches of what I had around me in order to fill the autoportrait: objects, places, people. I then found myself sketching some versions an auto portrait in my studio as I'd like it to be, mixing the course task with a sort of desing project for my future studio. I found it fun to create a new room in my mind and also to try to draw the different poses I usually take on the chair while drawing. I took some exploratory sketches to find the perspective, pose and palette for the final drawing.

I used watercolours, colour pencils, white gel pen and grafite pencils on 140 g cream sketchbook.

This is the final illustration I came up with. I'm not totally happy with the head and visage, and the whole image looks a bit to flat to my opinion, so I'll try to use more loose brush strokes in the future drawings to give more movement. It was good and fun to work on the image though and I'm happy to have finished the task.
