The idea of my project is to solve the conceptualization of the entrance to the gate of the main city in which the game would happen, based on Arab architecture from ancient times. Much of my inspiration came from the game Assassin's Creed Mirage, a beautiful game with a lot of attention to small details and the real history of the city.
I learned many skills and techniques in this course, and during practice, I began to understand what best suited my creative process. This made me abandon the use of shapes for thumbnails, I felt that my creativity was very limited, at least in this specific project. (I will continue practicing so that it is no longer a limiter in these moments)
So I made quick, rough drawings, and adapted the use of shapes to improve and give more details to the final sketch. This gave me better certainty about what I was building, in addition to providing quick and unique details, making it possible to carry out a more detailed design exploration of the work.
At the beginning of the project, I started with the idea of creating a visual view of the city presenting what would be a path for the protagonist to follow to his goal. It was in the middle of production that I understood the complexity of the project and decided to give up on it. Despite abandoning this idea it was extremely important for my learning, through this experience I adapted better to using images and shapes in my creative and practical process. I realized that for me it worked better to do a quick drawing first and then use the shape and image tools to detail, mainly because depending on the project you may not find the best images. And this all helped me to carry out the final project, so I thought it was worth posting here.
