Really worth taking this course to quickly understand basics of lighting a scene. As mentioned by Sam, this is just a start to understand about light, all we need to do is practice and experiment with real and influential art styles.

Sam gives very in depth explainations about how light behaves under different circumstances. For example day and night, sunlight vs artificial light. He also explains how material studies are useful for painting light interaction with surfaces. That is where this course really shines is that he explains a lot more properties than just "pick a direction for your light to come from." Which is the basic advice you will hear from most digital painters. Sam takes the subject a lot deeper than that.

Sam is very good at explaining the different lighting situations, offering very practical solutions, pushing the technical skills of Photoshop to another level while keeping it simple. Following his videos has assisted me to comprehend the different filters with greater ease while increasing my workflow. I recommend this course for anybody who wants to learn to light, also pushing digital painting skills further.

Hyper interessant aussi bien sur la théorie que la pratique. Je comprends mieux comment marche la lumière et comment utiliser les différents calques pour donner cette impression lumineuse.
