Sabrina Formica

Hello! My name is Sabrina, I am a designer and a passionate jewelry maker and teacher from Bari, Puglia - the heel of Italy’s boot! :D

After many years of experience as a fashion & graphic designer in Italy and abroad, in jewellery I have found my true calling and a way to express my visions and inner contrasts.
I live and work between Milano and Bari where I focus on my jewelry collections and I offer ceramic and jewelry making classes in a stimulating atmosphere. Passionate for teaching and meeting new people, I also organise creative retreats in my family 'ArtVilla' in Puglia, surrounded by nature and all Apulian vibes.

My interest in jewelry is not about the preciousness of the materials but about the magic in transforming a simple piece of metal (mostly brass from industrial waste) into a light wearable 'poetic metalwork' enclosing memories and personal feelings. Jewelry is for me the perfect combination of everything I am passionate about: illustration, sculpture, poetry, experimentation.
My work has been selected for international jewellery/art fairs and exhibitions and it’s available in jewellery galleries in Italy and abroad.

I love to challenge myself exploring new techniques and media and thanks to Domestika's courses i have found an endless source of inspiration and experimentation.

If you dream of creating your own personal jewelry I hope you will enjoy the 'Jewelry Design: Metal & Enamel' online course I created for You in collaboration with Domestika! I wanted this course to be an helpful guide for everyone interesting in the magic world of handmade jewelry. Please note this course is not focused JUST on enamels but it’s a first step into the enamels world as you will also learn a variety of techniques to create a collection of jewels from scratch in a very short time!! :))
Hope to see you in class! And do not hesitate to contact me for any need or doubt! :)
