Lots of good information, but I do think the lectures are a bit slow moving.

This was an amazing course. I think Domestika cheated Phil somewhat, as it's definitely not a beginner's course and this shows in the reviews. For the intermediate-advanced photographer this course is full of inspiration and the joy of seeing into the mind of a working photographer. I hope he does more.

Phil takes us through one of his photo shoots, explaining each step in detail. He not only gives technical information, but how he handles his subjects, and even his personal creative philosophy and influences. This course gives an invaluable insight into one of the world's top headshot and portrait photographers.

I like Phil's style as a photographer and also as a teacher. He explains things well and encourages you to think outside the box. It gave me insight in photographing with natural light.

Phil is a true artist, a combination of the great painters of light in todays modern world.! I have alot of take aways from this course, and I totally agree about his soulful approach. I will in fact approach my next portrait session at a more deliberate intentional pace and will re-create my studio setting as a result of the ideas he shared. I too would've liked to see more how he interacts with his sitter - lighting and a few technical demonstrations as he describes in the course. A part two?
