Crochet Studs on an old biker jacket

Some years ago I had the chance to work with DMC Yarns on their new yarn collection. My job was to create some samples that could enhance each yarn qualities and at the same time be surprising and "attention catcher".
Among the products I created, this specific project was very successful. I've started with a yarn that was thick and shiny at the same time. The light grey colour recalled metal so I decided to build some oversize studs: using simple triangle shaped crochet pieces, I sewn them together to obtain a little pyramid. Then I added a little black yarn embroidery on the outlines to enhanche the shape. I've put in a little padding then I sew the pyramids/studs on an old biker jacket. I've always loved to re-fashion clothing using crochet and embroidery too and this project was an ideal and funny solution.
