Ricardo Enrique García Castillo aka Revotype uses an intuitive and deductive design process with full understanding taking in consideration fundamental needs from clients. Working jointly with clients and fellow creatives from all over the globe he produces fresh, memorable and timeless design solutions, with more than 80 logos sold around the world since 1998, he always cares about keep leaving out generic logo soliutions always trying to give something unique for every project he develops.
Logotournament has been a great experience for Revotype since he joined this kind of job (crowdsourcing) he has increased his love and abilities with logos and branding, somedays he even spends more than 12 continuously hours developing concepts for logos around the world, “Is a hole new world of posibilities as graphic designer because you work for different cultures without leaving home” he says, now in the worst of cases when a logo didn’t win any contest he always transforms that limited logo in one with more posiblities of being used by somebody else at Brandcrowd.
Recently Revotype has been exploring new media and new projects where he can apply this vision. Despite his very imaginative universe, he finds inspiration in the very real world; in the beat music, the aroma of coffee, in discovering different cultures, or just discovering different lifestyles people show trough internet. Above all, he believes in the idea of branding as a tool for showing the hidden universal and surprising side beauty of the ordinary things.
