Shilah's Room

My little sister Shilah loves unicorns, and wanted a space of her own that showed that without being too girly. Although she's a big fan of flowery things, glitter, and pink, she wanted to be able to grow up in her room and not get sick of the design. I decided to go with a half yellow wall with a subtle, hand painted floral design all around the room, and fill it with white furniture accented by pinks, light blue, and gold. My sister is a budding artist and girl scout, so she is always making something new that she wants to display. I kept most of the walls blank for her to put up her own work, dedicated a corner area for her to read and draw, and a versatile shelving unit to store supplies and books.
