The brief: Sony Playstation UK were the official gaming console of the 2014 World Cup- they wanted to create a campaign that would promote the PS4 and resonate with their football-mad audience.
Solution: “This is for the Football Players” is a call to arms for all the football gamers, fans and players in the UK. We created a youtube film that drew parallels between the football fans reactions to the World Cup's England games vs the ones they play on their console.
Alongside this, we ran a re-active digital and outdoor campaign. The campaign consisted of imagery of ‘our players’ reactions with re-active copy corresponding to England’s win(s) or loss(es) and was beamed to outdoor and digital sites across the UK in real-time.
