AKID pattern design - footwear

A few years AKID, a Los Angeles based brand creating children's footwear, asked me to develop original designs for their collections, worn by the kids of celebrities like the Kardashians, Beyonce, Gwen Stefani or Hilary Duff.

The designs would then become not only prints, but also embroideries and other kind of applications.
Research about the brand's identity and target played a huge role in this project: AKID had a strong DNA and I needed to translate that into prints.
I worked closely with founder Matthew George (chief executive officer of Yeezy and Stussy co-owner) in order to deliver the right artwork, and it was super fun to see the result!
