Eat Guides Barcelona is an informal and personal guidebook, offering more than a blurb and a street address. These are the authors’ stories – two locals from the city – and experiences from chewing, chomping, and chowing down in Barcelona.
The client requested a versatile identity that was usable as a logo and book title in different media. The slogan (Eat, Drink, Be Merry) was a starting point from which i developed an iconographic system of three elements, thus, the slogan was directly linked to the logo. A palette of vivid pastel colors reinforces and individualizes each one of the three icons. The name of each particular city guide would be used as an optional base to complement the logo.
