Sandra Saldanha

I am a Multimedia and Textile artist. I was born in Brazil, but have lived in London for the past 30 years. I am a mother of two, a poet and a storyteller. I have a degree in (BSc)Psychology from UNG in São Paulo; and also a First Degree in Fine Art(BA) from Central Saint Martins in London.
I worked with photography for many years before I studied multimedia and specialised in sculpture. Since the year 2000 I started introducing textile into my work (including mixed media textiles, video and multimedia installations) to help to create poetic imagery with non-linear narratives. I am constantly trying to learn new mediums and techniques to express myself.
