In this rebranding proposal, it stems, as a first step, from an in-depth study of the values and goals outlined in the Bologna District Houses Presentation Brief. From here I understand the importance of human values and its connections, of what is really important around us: each value takes shape in a different way in each of us, making our nature exalted and cultivating the desire to pass it on to others. I wanted to emphasize all these concepts in a simple but impactful graphic element that can remain in the memory of those who frequent the environments : the shape.
Once I extrapolated the concept of shape, I created 6 circles, like the number of districts, aligning and transforming them depicting the shape of a rectangle. The open door represents an invitation to anyone who wanted to, to enter any Bologna Districts House. Next to it, I inserted the naming “ Districts Houses” composing the final logo. I chose brick red, a characteristic shade of the City of Bologna, because of the marked use in its buildings.
