My project for course: Introduction to Japanese Sashiko Stitching

Sashiko Frida Kahlo Patches on Denim Overalls
For my Final Project, I have used Frida Kahlo fabric patches on the front of my black denim overalls. I worked two smaller patches - one on each leg of the overalls. The largest patch is at the right knee of the overalls. To get straight lines, I used graph paper in the large hole and drew the lines with a white fabric marker (I forgot to take a photo of this step). I then made fine sashiko stitching around the Frida Kahlo patch. I also made a circular pattern over another patch using a plastic circle shape. I made sashiko stitching to secure the patch. Three of the patches are attached under the hole and one patch is attached over the fabric near the bib.
