Tulip stationary set

I choose a tulip as my subject and played around with the composition, both with the drawing as with the digital work.

I use a 100% cotton sketchbook, with fine grain paper. The paper is 300 g/m2. My paints are mostly Schmincke Horadam, but I also have some W&N Professional and Rembrandt. I did some finishing touches with colored pencil. For the digital process I used the free software Gimp.

I sketched the tulip and the elements of the tulip on a separate paper and then used a light box to transfer the sketch onto my watercolor paper. I painted the flowers using watercolors and gave some more definition with colored pencils.

I used a photo of my drawing, since my scanner broke down. I first touch up on the colors and then cut out each element using the techniques showed in the course. I made the products in a presentation program.
